Why your Japanese counterpart has not replied

Business diplomacy, Jakarta
VASTA advises Indonesian companies on entering Japan, China and the Gulf. We make introductions personally, we brief both sides, and we tell you when the answer is no.

How we advise
We do not send lists. We identify the specific counterpart whose mandate matches yours, establish context on both sides, and make the introduction personally so the first meeting starts from trust rather than from scratch.
Our Gateway Series takes Indonesian companies into one market at a time: a briefing with the embassy trade desk, curated counterpart meetings, and follow-through after you fly home. Japan, China and the Middle East are running now.
We design and lead delegations with consular support in market. Our September mission covered Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen with a briefing from the Consulate General. You arrive introduced, not announced.
Executive dinners, closed briefings and partner gatherings where every guest is there for a reason. We build the room around the outcome you need, then stay in it.
We connect enterprise to government, associations and foundations so that a commercial relationship sits on institutional footing. It is slower. It is also the part that survives a change of management.

Not a list, not a database export. One person, with a reason they should take your call.
They know who you are before you land. You know how they decide before you speak.
We remain in the relationship after the introduction, because that is where it either holds or fails.
How an engagement runs
A confidential conversation about where you are trying to go and who actually needs to say yes.
We map counterparts against your mandate and rule out the ones that only look right on paper.
We make the introduction ourselves, with context on both sides, so the meeting opens at the second question.
We stay in the relationship after the handshake, because the value is in the second year, not the first meeting.
We do not publish anonymous praise. These are the institutions we have worked alongside publicly. Client references are provided on request, named, in the first meeting.

The firm
VASTA was founded in 2026 by three women who had spent years doing this informally: opening doors for Indonesian businesses through national associations, embassy trade desks and personal networks built one relationship at a time. The firm exists because the demand outgrew the favour economy. Our first Gateway session ran in July 2026. Japan, China and the Middle East followed within eight weeks.

Three founders. Every mandate handled by one of them.Every mandate is handled by a founder. There is no associate layer to hide behind.
